Our watches are proudly made in Germany 🇩🇪.

They are crafted in our own watchmaking atelier, where our skilled watchmakers, painters, technical draftsmen, and other experts collaborate to create high-quality timepieces.

This close collaboration also enables us to provide top-notch repair services. Each watch is meticulously crafted with precision and care to ensure it meets the highest quality standards, bringing joy to our customers for years to come. ⌚✨

⌚️ Difference between quartz automatic movement?

1. Quartz Movement:
- A quartz movement uses a battery 🔋 to electrify the quartz crystal in the watch.
- The quartz crystal oscillates at a very constant frequency ⏰, ensuring the accuracy of the timepiece.
- Quartz watches are typically more accurate than automatic watches and require less maintenance.
- They usually tick in second intervals.

2. Automatic Movement:
- An automatic movement is a mechanical movement that is wound by the motion of your wrist.
- The motion of your wrist rotates a rotor in the movement, which winds a spring to store energy.
- Automatic watches do not require a battery, as they are powered by the kinetic energy of your movement.
- They are often equipped with an exhibition caseback, showcasing the intricate movement.

Overall, quartz and automatic watches differ in their power source, accuracy, maintenance requirements, and functionality. The choice between the two depends on your personal preferences and needs! 🕰️✨

💡 Are the watches and bracelets from DriftElement nickel-free?

Some of our watches or their clasps are made of surgical stainless steel (304L). This is clearly indicated in the product description.

All stainless steel contains nickel ("chromium-nickel steel") and is therefore, like stainless steel jewelry in general, not suitable for those with severe nickel allergies.

All our watches are regularly tested for nickel release according to REACH regulations and are therefore considered skin-friendly and hypoallergenic according to current EU standards.

📏 The size does not fit. What can I do?

Our size measurements have been adjusted to fit over 99% of customers. ✅ If the item doesn't fit, you can return it to us. All the details can be found under the keyword "Returns." 📦

Please understand that in this case, you will need to cover the return shipping costs. 🚚

🏃 How long does the automatic watch run?

The automatic watch, equipped with the Miyota 8N24 caliber from Japan 🇯🇵, boasts an impressive runtime of up to 42 hours on a full wind. ⌚

This means that once the watch is fully wound, it can continue operating for approximately 42 hours before needing to be wound again. This extended runtime ensures reliable timekeeping and convenience for the wearer, allowing for uninterrupted use throughout the day and even overnight. Whether you're wearing it daily or occasionally, you can trust your automatic watch to keep ticking for an extended period without needing frequent winding. 🔄

💦 Are the watches waterproof?

Yes, our watches are designed with different levels of water resistance to suit various activities:
- Quartz models are rated at 3 ATM (atmospheres), indicating they can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as handwashing or accidental spills. 💦
- Automatic models are rated at 5 ATM, offering increased water resistance suitable for activities like swimming, showering, or snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for deep-sea diving. 🏊‍♂️

Explanation: The term "ATM" refers to "atmospheres," which is a unit used to measure the pressure a watch can withstand underwater.
- A 3 ATM rating means the watch can handle pressures equivalent to depths of about 30 meters (100 feet). This level of water resistance makes it suitable for everyday use and incidental exposure to water.
- A 5 ATM rating indicates the watch can withstand pressures equivalent to depths of about 50 meters (165 feet). While suitable for more water-related activities, such as swimming or showering, it is not recommended for deep-sea diving.

Examples:
- If you have a 3 ATM watch, it's safe to wear during everyday tasks, but you should avoid prolonged exposure to water, especially when swimming or diving. 🚫
- A 5 ATM watch provides greater versatility and can accompany you during water-based activities like swimming or snorkeling, but it's essential to avoid wearing it while engaging in deep-sea diving activities beyond its recommended depth rating. 🚫

⏱️ How do I look after my automatic watch?

For our automatic watches, Driftelement uses MIYOTA movements, renowned for their longevity, quality, and robustness. We employ the same materials as the luxury industry and meticulously test each new design for functionality and construction before commencing production. With proper care, your automatic watch can last for decades. ⌚🔧

- If you don't wear your watch daily, Driftelement recommends occasionally moving the watch or using a watch winder. 🔄

- Driftelement recommends having the watch serviced every 3-5 years. This is because oils and resins inside the watch can dry out over time and should be replaced regularly to prevent mechanical wear or damage to the movement. Seals should be checked and, if necessary, replaced every 5 years, while the crown and stem should be serviced every ten years. 🛠️✨

✨ Care instructions for leather & imitation leather bracelets

🛡️ Protect your leather strap from cosmetics, water, perspiration, and chemicals, and avoid exposing it to excessive sunlight. 🌞 A leather strap typically has a lifespan of about 6 to 12 months. ⏳

✨ Care instructions for metal bracelets

🛡️ With metal bracelets, cosmetics, perspiration, and dust can cause skin irritation or steel oxidation. Avoid exposing the bracelet to chemicals like chlorine. 🧴🌊 Clean the bracelet regularly with a bit of soap and water, and then dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. 🧼

📅 When will I receive my order?

We take pride in shipping your order from our own warehouse rather than relying on external logistics providers.

We do this because we personally feel responsible for ensuring that your package arrives not only quickly but also neatly packaged and with a personal touch. Due to fluctuating order volumes, there may be times when your order takes a few extra days 📆 to reach you. However, we always keep our delivery time estimates up to date. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for supporting our startup not only with your order but also with your patience!

❌ Can I cancel my order?

Due to our highly automated logistics process, cancellations are only possible in exceptional cases.

Your best chance for cancellation is if your order is less than 24 hours old and you contact our 💬 support bot requesting cancellation. We'll review the situation and notify you accordingly.

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that your order hasn't already entered the shipping process and is no longer cancellable.

💔 Complaints

Instances like this can occur from time to time. If your item develops a defect within the 12-month warranty period, and it's not due to your mishandling, we'll replace the product at no extra cost.

How to return one or more items

If you're not satisfied with the delivered goods or the size doesn't fit, you can make use of your right of withdrawal and return the items to us. You can also choose to return only part of your order.

You have 14 days from the receipt of the goods to do this.

Please note that you, as the customer, are responsible for the return shipping costs. 📦💸
